The Villages of Mt Dandenong Association

The Villages of Mt Dandenong Association is our local business and tourism group for the Villages on the ridge of Mt Dandenong. 

Run by volunteers from local businesses and funded by our membership fees, advertising and grants, we are working to ensure we are being represented with Council and Regional & State Tourism. Strong membership numbers are imperative to ensure we have a unified voice, especially since the winding down of Dandenong Ranges Tourism (DRT) last year. 

The advertising materials we produce promote the diverse and unique experience that our Villages have to offer visitors. It allows all of our businesses, big and small the opportunity of meaningful exposure at a cost effective price. 

The VoMD Association is not-for-profit and all money received by the Association goes towards promotion, media, initiatives and events that promote and improve the Villages and its businesses.

Membership of the Villages of Mt Dandenong Association is open to businesses in Sassafras, Olinda, Mt Dandenong, Kalorama, Tremont, Ferny Creek, Sherbrooke and Kallista and runs from 1st July 2024 - 30th June 2025.

*The Digital Boost Campaign delivered 1 x 1 minute promotional video, 3 x 25 second social media videos and a selection of still images for 40 of our members. These are currently being used for the Villages social media marketing plan and website. In Year 2 it also delivered Village and Category specific videos featuring members.

The Villages Destination Website   $100 +gst

Our destination website www.thevillages.com.au averages 10,000 users per month and ranks highly in search. It consistently delivers a high amount of traffic to its business listings. 

Our new category videos from our Digital Boost Campaign Grant are averaging 500 views a week each!

The website also helps build our email mailing list and social media follows giving us direct access to visitors that are actively engaged with our area.

We are on the v.hive destination marketing platform to deliver access to easy content management for businesses. You will be able to update your listing at anytime and add and schedule an unlimited amount of special offers and events throughout the year. You will also appear on our interactive map and can be included in relevant itineraries.

We encourage you to join the website as we will be linking to it from emails and social media throughout the year.

The Villages Folded Map  from $50 +gst

The Villages Map is an important part of our marketing mix. It is a valuable resource to visitors with information on where to visit, eat and shop while on the mountain. It also delivers return visits with accommodation, events, markets and attractions.

25,000 maps are circulated during the year through all businesses and our 7 Visitor Information Stands across the Villages and Dandenong Ranges. All 25,000 copies are picked up by visitors during the year with any remaining maps delivered to SkyHigh for distribution when the new map becomes available. Map name place markers are also included on the large wall mounted map in Sassafras!

Listings are arranged on a first in, first displayed basis in the order of display listings, full listings and then line listings.

Full Listing - $200 +gst Includes: Large Image + Icons + Long Description + Map Place Name

Line Listing - $100 +gst Includes: Small Image + Short Description + Map Place Name
