The Train of Lights might be sold out already but you can still see the train making it's way from Emerald to Gembrook. Book your accommodation, bring the family and choose a vantage point to catch a glimpse of this amazing sight. The train travels for 45 minutes each way leaving the Puffing billy Lakeside Visitor Centre in Emerald at approximately 6pm and departing Gembrook at approximately 7.30pm to arrive back at Lakeside at 8.20pm.

Let your imagination run wild as you explore a new trail of 14 animatronic dinosaurs coming to life before your eyes for a limited time only. There's plenty to keep both big and little dino-lovers entertained. Join a guided walk through the dino trail and learn all about the prehistoric animals. Become a palaeontologist at the Dino Dig in Nature Trail and brush away sand and uncover hidden treasures – dinosaur bones! Delight your taste buds with their exclusive menu featuring dino-themed kid's lunch pack and Ben & Jerry's dino-themed ice cream.

Come see our community exhibition 'Green Folk - Mycelium Magic' celebrating the folk of the green and fanciful fungi! Like mycelium, we are all connected in nature and in spirit. We welcome you enjoy a collection of art that explores this hidden magic. A fantastical display of local artists' work displayed in our magical gallery space, complete with a nature inspired musical soundscape to take you into another world.

The Gully Market is a long established market that runs every Saturday and Sunday in the carpark of the Upper Ferntree Gully Train Station. Drop in on the way up (or the way down) the mountain and stretch your legs as the Gully Market has lots of craft stalls, fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and home made goods.

The historic Kallista Village Market, held 1st Saturday of the month, was established in 1977, and is one of the original community markets. True to its roots, featuring handmade, homegrown, local, sustainable & ethical products. Enjoy live local music at the Market Stage, under the trees, with a unique relaxed Village vibe. Come support our community groups, young entrepreneurs & local traders!

The Cockatoo Country Market is your local artisan market held in Cockatoo in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Where possible stall holders offer locally grown and made products.

Rotary Club of Lilydale's Craft and Produce Market has over 35 stalls and easy parking. You'll find a range of local crafts, plants, jewellery and baby clothes as well as fresh eggs, fruit and vegies, honey and other delicious fare to take home or eat browsing for birthday or Christmas presents or just a treat for yourself! Entry is a gold coin donation which funds Rotary's local community projects.

For all budding witches and wizards, join us at Leaf Studios for a potion making class this school holidays! Make your very own potion bottle to take home. Parents are welcome to stay and help their child if they would like to. Located in the gallery space at Leaf Studios in Kallista.

Rekindle the romance of the rails amongst the glamour of the Flapper Era where pearls and feathers, silk bow ties and braces are the fashion, there has been a Murder on the Puffing Billy Express! It promises to take you not only through the forest but to transport you back in time.

With a delicious shared grazing platter served onboard, Puffing Billy Railway takes you on a 50-minute journey through the forest before arriving at the historic Nobelius Packing Shed where the mystery unfolds.

Your main meal and dessert will be served at the Nobelius Packing Shed, with tea and coffee served onboard the train back to Belgrave before your evening comes to an end.

Promoting sustainable living, many of the 90+ stall holders are artisans and craftspeople who have created unique items from recycled materials. Purchase home grown produce including some wonderful gourmet foods. We have a 'garage sale site' and if occupied on the day you visit, who knows what bargain you may find! A jumping castle, farm animals or similar activities for young children are on site at most markets.
